Project Rambience’s objective is to develop a diverse and internationally competitive Restaurant Management
Software System that will take full advantage of the most modern possibilities offered by new technologies. It
can include a functional set of connected software systems that will ensure and automate the entire
management of a restaurant, a group of restaurants or large catering spaces, adding value to the mass catering
experience. Contrarily to the software presently available in the global market this one will come at a price that will not be prohibitive for small restaurants since some of its basic features will be free.
The software is currentlty being developed – even in the COVID-19 era. Because we believe that the restaurant and coffee establishment industries will eventually rebound and will seek digital operational advantages.
Basic Product Characteristics
Rambience (registration needed) will make an effort to allow data lakes and the use of measured machine learning cloud tools. Its portability will have a low, in certain cases even null, cost of maintenance and upgrading.
Consequently it will represent a sustainable solution for small and medium sized businesses. Rambience has worked to incorporate easy configuration and interface via API with the other hardware and software in the industry. A flexible financial model depending on the needs and the financial possibilities of the business and the
possibility of a free version (without subscription). It will provide seamless and financially more profitable functioning of catering spaces. It will offer the best possible experience between customers and the natural environment sparing them
the complexity and the noise that presently accompany the Greek dining experience. It will offer the web infrastructure of a smart management of waste hence contributing to the protection of the environment. For the implementation of the project the agile method will be adopted which is of highest technological standards, is low cost and enables continuous readjustment of the parameters during the development of the Rambience System.
The project’s expected results are important:
By implementing this project Pubisto will be established as a key player in the sector, especially competitive
and pioneering in Greece and internationally; it will expand its research activity and increase its personnel.
The mass catering companies that will adopt Rambience will be able to:
• Make a better assessment and readjustment of their business plan with the use of data analytics,
whenever data is available and is allowed for processing by the law.
• Offer their clients a more qualitative catering experience; hence they will not only come back but also spread
• Record and manage their clients needs.
• Reduce their working costs thanks to more effective methods for using the social media for attracting clients.
• Reduce waste by systematically recording and analyzing their inventory.
• Increase their possibility of success (for new businesses in the industry).
The clients of catering businesses will enjoy a higher level of quality of hospitality and will have the future
capacity to inform themselves on the origin and ingredients of the products they consume through the “smart
food labeling & food traceability” that incorporates the Community’s directives regarding the provenance of
food, drinks or their ingredients.
